2024 DS50 Twin Screw Feeder for Fluid Jet Micronizers

Twin screw volumetric feeder for dosing, prefeeding, and batching dry bulk materials into fluid jet mills and other powder process lines. Twin screws with exchangeable designs handle materials that single screw feeders struggle with, including pigments, sticky powders, bridging or flooding powders, fiber, and fiberglass. Material is held in a hopper and delivered at a constant rate per unit of time, and the feed rate is calibrated by weighing a timed sample and adjusting screw speed. The feeder has no internal stirring system, which limits stress on the product, and a welded stainless steel housing with detachable side parts keeps maintenance low. A gravimetric (loss-in-weight) execution is available for materials with variable bulk density. The pharmaceutical version has no oil or grease on mechanical parts, quick screw and bridge breaker disassembly, and low residual product after discharge, which supports validation. A brushless motor with resolver gives constant drive at any speed, with an ATEX version available. Used in pharmaceutical micronization, fine chemical, cosmetic, pigment, and food powder processing for continuous feeding and batching of powders and granules.
