1997 Benzinger TNE-2 CNC Turning Center

This is a CNC turning center with a main spindle and a counter spindle. It is built for complete machining of small turned parts in one clamping: the part is finished on both ends and falls ready to use. Work is held in collets on both spindles. The tool turret is a disc type, and the counter spindle sits on its own slide opposite the main spindle, so the part can be passed across for back-side work. A pneumatic gripper handles part removal. The panel shows keys for X1, Z1, Y1, C1, Z2 and C2 axes, which points to a multi-axis setup with C-axis positioning on both spindles. The machine runs a Siemens Sinumerik CNC control.

The machine suits turning, facing, drilling, boring, threading, grooving and cut-off on small bar and chucked parts.
